Wine: You cannot discuss things to do in the area without firstly talking about wine, as this is possibly one of Spain's most important wine regions, like Bourdeux is to France and Napa Valley is to California. Even if you do not drink wine or thought you have no interest we strongly urge you to take advantage of the FREE local wine tours & tasting only minutes from our house. Also you may have seen the Black Cava bottles in the supermarkets called Freixnet they have a great wine tour in the wonderful small town of Sant Sadurni D'Anoia. A wine town steeped in culture and tradition. www.freixenet.es
Another great tour is Cordoniu who have the largest underground cellars anywhere in the world!!! Culture Vuntures: For those of you who love history and architecture we recommend a visit to the Cistern monasteries & Churches in nearby, Sant Marti Sarrocca - Up on the hill in the old town is a stunning castle and church, Vilafranca - Two lovely churches and a wine museum celebrating the thousand year history of win making the area, walk around the old town for nostalgic history. Montserratt Mountains - Stunning with a lovely town and monastery - a super family day out Reus - the birth place of Antonio Guadi and full of Modernistic buildings - a lovely city Tarragona - A world heritage city with some very important Roman ruins in including a amphitheatre - a great day out. 

Barcelona: You cant come to the area without a day in Barcelona, shopping, the Zoo for the kids, tapas, nightlife… it has it all, only 50mins door to door from the house or a train from Vilafranca Station. There are Directions from Barcelona here
